Japanese Gardening

Gardening

The basics of a Japanese Garden

Most of us have a pre-determined notion of what a Japanese garden looks like. We think of certain details which come to mind, things like the ever popular Japanese maples giving off their fiery glow in the fall. Or expanses of Kurume azaleas or rhododendrons with their fine spring colors. Or perhaps it is the rustling of a slender bamboo in the breeze.

Whatever it is, there is always something soothing about the typical Japanese garden. But is there, in fact, such a thing as a typical Japanese garden?

There are different kinds of Japanese gardens, each having their very own personality, if you will.

Some of the best known gardens in Japan, have almost no plantings at all, but are comprised of carefully tended “seas” of fine gravel surrounding rock groupings. Perhaps there is no better example of this than the world renowned garden at Ryoan-ji.

Ryoan-ji is undoubtedly the finest example of a Zen type garden and receives tens of thousands of visitors every year.

In fact, it is so popular, that one side of it is lined with a large seating area to accommodate tour groups. It is considered de rigeur for all school children in the area to visit Ryoan-ji as part of their education.

Home Cinema – Amazing Equipment

Home Equipment

When you start to discuss home cinema it’s the proverbial can of worms in the making.

No matter whom you speak with, the difference of opinion will vary on each part of the process. Should you mix brands? Have you enough Amp power to run the surround sound? What screen to choose? That’s without even starting to discuss what brand or quality of cables to use!

At Rococo Systems and Design, we have a wealth of knowledge and staff skill sets to ensure that regardless of budget size, we will have been there and done that, which in turn means you will get the very best of advice.

We also stock a huge range of Home Cinema equipment that will cover every element of the installation.

With Projectors starting under £700 like the ThemeScene® HD65 and ending with the Sim2 Grand Cinema MICO which at £54,995 you can see we really do have a lot of choice to offer.

To accompany your new projector, other Home Cinema equipment will need to be thought through and considered for longevity and future proofing. All this of course can be discussed when your complete budget is established.

It’s at that point the guys here at Rococo Systems can start to piece together the puzzle for you and start to advise on amplification, speakers, DVD/Blue ray player type, wiring and any automation system to make it all work seamlessly.

Garden Studios

Gardening

Garden studios make a fantastic addition to almost any garden. As these are made to measure they can be built in almost any garden. Of course for a luxury garden studio you’ll probably need a large garden space.

Garden studios can be used for any reason, as they make fantastic work and play areas. When it comes to work there are many of us that would love to be able to work from home. Often we have the opportunity to do this but we simply do not have the space at home to take advantage of the chance. Working from home is a fantastic opportunity allowing you to stay at home with your family and get work done.

Having a garden studio installed can be a great compromise because you can have this built into an office. Often when we think about buildings in our garden we assume that something along the lines of a garden shed is our only option.

A garden studio is a massive leap up from this and really does just become an extra room in your home.

When we buy a home we don’t always think forward to our family growing or situations changing. Sometimes before we know it we have more children than we planned. Whilst we wouldn’t change this for the world, it can leave us in a home that is cramped and crowded.

Folding Craft Tables

Crafts

If you are the artistic type, or if you have kids that need a fun activity to do, a really great hobby to participate in is crafting. There are all types of crafts to participate in, such as crafting kits that use yarn hooking, knitting, making jewelry with beads, painting, drawing, or a variety of other craft and hobby ideas such as scrap booking. When a person thinks about their favorite hobby, of course they think about all the supplies that they will need to accomplish their hobby. But one thing a person might not think about or take for granted, is the space or the surface that they will be performing on. This is where folding craft tables come into play.

A person might think that they can use their own kitchen table, but that could be a bit of a mess. Inevitably, a person will want a snack or something to drink, and the food and drink can spill on the crafts. This is why having a crafting table around is a great idea. When the crafts and the supplies are assembled on the folding craft tables, one doesn’t have to worry about food or drink spilling on them. They also don’t have to worry about being interrupted and having to move their crafting supplies out of the way if someone needs the kitchen table.

Baby Walkers

Babies

A baby walker is an object used to help your baby get around before they can walk. Most baby walkers are constructed from a plastic or metal frame. There a seat that is suspended in the center that allows the baby’s feet to touch the floor. There are wheels attached to the bottom to allow the baby room to scoot around.

Although some people feel that baby walkers are unsafe, in 1997 a voluntary safety standard was issued. This standard made it mandatory that a rubberized friction strip be added to the base of the walker. This helps the walker from going off the edge of the stairs.

Some things to consider when buying a baby walker include safety, trying the display model, your baby’s comfort, type of walker, and the attachments.

Where safety is concerned, make sure the walker meets the safety standard and is stable. When trying out the display model, test it out to make sure it does not pinch your fingers when folded (or unfolded).

Also check to see that your baby’s feet touch the ground on the shortest height setting. Try to stay away from walk-behind walkers. Your baby could push it away and fall or push the walker over an edge. As for the attachments, make sure your baby enjoys them and they cannot break off and be swallowed.
